6lb 8oz, 19 1/2" long (quite the wingspan and long, skinny feet like mine!)
our little pisces-- born 3.20.10 at 7:18pm

delivered at the birth center with an amazing midwife and nurse. it was a natural delivery, 12 hours of labor.

can you say 'intense'?!!
whew!

so pretty...

a friend from college took this photo and the colors and textures, to me, are too pretty not to love. i printed a copy and hung it in ellie's room... who, by the way, still isn't here.

sigh.

trying to have patience. i'm just so darn excited...!

but ellie's the boss.
and i know she'll come when she's good and ready.

Perhaps you have to know my grandma to understand what a fabulous picture this is-- but i don't think it's entirely necessary. i've never seen her drink a drop of alcohol, EVER, and i know for sure she was just cleaning up... but still. so glad my cousin jon captured this great moment: my grandma, double-fisting beers and gettin' her party on.

today's been a heavy day-- call it anxiety, too many hormones, who knows-- but a good laugh was definitely in order. this picture, for me, does the trick.

he loves me...

kevin surprises me sometimes with his sweetness. he looked over all the maternity photos angie had taken the other day and declared that this one was his absolute favorite.

not necessarily one i would have picked, so i asked him why.

and he looked at me with his sweet brown eyes and said "you just look so beautiful and natural"...

aww. i knew i was with this fella for good reason! he sure knows how to make a gal feel good.

only a few more days to go....!

2 weeks to go?! craziness....
just trying breathe, go with the flow, and prepare my heart for the amazing love i can only imagine at this point but am about to experience.
