today i had off from work, so my dear friend angie hopper and i decided to go check out the Southern Women's show over at the new convention center, located on the Savannah River.
it was quite an experience!
to sum it up, i came home with coconut oil jewelry cleaner, strawberry/jalapeno jelly, a loaf of sourdough bread, a Benefit eyebrow shaping kit, and the most amazing thing ever: the sham-WOW!

all i gotta say is that i saw the infomercial LIVE and i was sold, without a doubt. so angie and i got 5 huge shamwow sheets for $20 and we'll split'em!
i can't wait to spill something!
all in all, we had a really fun day-- angie got a facial from the "origins" booth while i snacked on "razpamatazz" chocolate chip and raspberry bread from another booth.... yummy. then we got our make-up done at the Benefit booth. i'd never even heard of them... but it seems to be a great line with fun packaging. (it's a bit pricey though...) nonetheless, i walked aways with shimmery eye shadow on my lids (not my style at all) and some done-up brows! being the sucker that i am, also bought the aforementioned eyebrow duo. and i got a free lip gloss duo too~ oh yeah! angie got the works done-- and looked pretty good too, aside from the purple eyeshadow! ha! she rocked it well though. right along with the purple mascara, which i think she ended up buying... hell yes, every girl needs purple lashes at some time or another!
so then we went and checked out her scooter and knocked back a couple of margaritas at jalapenos' happy hour-- can't turn down the 2 for 1! cheers for a fun and much-needed girls day, complete with drinks and complainin' bout our fellas.... sometimes it's just what the doctor ordered.
and sham-WOWs!!!
